How to Be Unstoppable: Practical Ways to Tap Into Your Limitless Potential

How to Be Unstoppable: Practical Ways to Tap Into Your Limitless Potential

Do you know how to be unstoppable? The answer is simple: Take the first step—and then keep moving forward. However, it’s taking that step and motivating yourself to keep going that’s a little less simple.

That’s probably why most people quit before they ever start. A survey of 30,000 Americans by professors at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business found that less than half of people who have business ideas actually pitch their plans to friends or take steps to start their companies before they give up.

It’s easy to let fear, doubt and uncertainty creep in and talk you out of the idea—we’re afraid of not knowing or of failing in front of the world. That may be why of the entrepreneurs who cited financing as a major barrier to starting a business, in the Duke survey, only seven percent actually sought funding for their projects.

The good news is, if you’re ready to live a limitless life, there’s no secret sauce you have to learn. Use these practical steps and mindset shifts to unlock the fire that’s already within you.

Practice Future Self Journaling

Make some changes

You are not a blank canvas. You’re filled with limiting beliefs, stories and ideas of what’s possible for you. That’s why journaling can be a powerful tool when learning how to be unstoppable. One journaling type that can be especially powerful is future self journaling.

Dr. Nicole LePera explains does a great job of explaining why this type of journaling is so valuable: “Future self journaling works because it creates conscious awareness around your behaviors and patterns. For many of us, this exercise is the first (and only time) we’ve done this.”

It’s these behaviors and patterns that need to change to become unstoppable. We have to recognize what’s holding us back before we can get out of the mud and start running forward. Without addressing those things holding us back, they’ll come up again and again.

I our future self journaling guide, I share how to do it:

  • Decide what you want to change. Focus on a single habit, pattern or mindset at a time.
  • Bring the future into the present with present tense statements.
  • Recognize resistance and push through with some powerful prompts.
  • Create and visualize your ideal situation—what would life ideally look like once you make this change?

You can do future self journaling for any habit or behavior you want to change on your path to becoming unstoppable.

See Your Potential With Meditation

Open your eyes to what’s possible

Our mind is a powerful tool. With regular practice, meditation helps you sharpen that tool. Meditation provides dozens of benefits including less stress and anxiety, improved self-awareness, and improved sleep.

One of the most valuable benefits of meditation when you’re tapping into your limitless potential, however, is how it opens your mind. Anastasia Belyh, 3x serial entrepreneur and blogger, explains:

“Believe it or not but meditating regularly can make you much more imaginative and creative. It makes your soul more relaxed, and that makes way for better thinking, visualization, and imagination.”

So often we don’t see our limitless potential because we’re thinking with a limited mind. Meditation can open your mind to potential that you didn’t even know existed. Listen to my Mindset Reset Radio episode about tapping into your quantum mindset to take this even further.

Change Your Community

Surround yourself with unstoppable people

If you keep beating yourself down or doubting your abilities, the problem might not be your mental headspace. You might be surrounded by people each day who limit your potential.

“The people you spend the most time with shape who you are,” says Maarten van Doorn, a PhD candidate in philosophy at Central European University. “They determine what conversations dominate your attention...Eventually, you start to think like they think and behave like they behave.”

There’s an old adage that you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. This doesn’t mean that your friends or significant other intentionally want to see you fail, but they might not understand your drive. Your vision and unimaginable dreams might confuse or even scare them—and that lack of enthusiasm for what you want to achieve affects you.

You begin to wonder: is something wrong with me? Is this a bad idea? When really, their reaction is simply a reflection of their own limiting beliefs and stories. This is why it’s important to seek out a community who will support you and cheer you on. These are people who are also chasing their dreams and making the impossible possible.

You can find these communities in person, online in Facebook groups, via webinars and seminars, and more.

Hire a Coach

Know when you need support.

Self-reflection and analysis are incredibly difficult and a coach can help you move through the tough stuff while also reflecting insights you may be missing.

“Everyone needs a life coach because there is power in someone else, a professional, reflecting back at you what you say and see to open up your mind, to identify your blind spots, to encourage discovery and support you in creating action,” says Elizabeth Arboleda, a certified life coach, and professional counselor.

Regardless of the type of coach you work with, whether it’s a life coach, business coach, health coach, etc.—the power is the same. With someone else to support and also guide you, you’re able to not only see, but tap into your limitless potential

If you don’t know how to be unstoppable, your coach will be able to guide you through powerful questions, reframing and deep inner work. Working with a coach was one of the best decisions I ever made and the healing that came as a result changed who I am as a person.

How to Be Unstoppable?

You are the only thing holding you back. Using these practical steps, you don’t have to wonder about how to be unstoppable—you just make it second nature. Tap into your limitless potential with future self journaling, guided meditation, coaching and a powerful community that will cheer you on every step of the way. Whatever you want to achieve, you can—you just need to get intentional about it.
